At Hotel Helix, we implement smart green practices that have a high impact and benefit to our city and our planet.

  All rooms cleaned with environmentally friendly cleaning products. We only use environmentally safe and non-toxic cleaning agents, and we don't use bleach and ammonia-based products.

• Soy Inks.

  All hotel collateral and materials are printed on 100% recycled paper using soy based ink and office paper is printed on both sides and then recycled

• Recycled Paper.

  Property wide printing on recycled paper.

• Organic Beverages.

  All complimentary lobby coffee is organic, shade grown and/or fair trade.

• Towel/Linen Reuse.

  Guests have the opportunity to do their part to reduce energy and detergents required for daily washings.

• Recycling.

  Our extensive recycling program addressing glass, bottles, paper, cardboard, etc. helps recycle 60% of our waste.

• Energy Conservation.

  All lighting is retrofitted and audited to ensure that only energy efficient light bulbs are used throughout the hotel. We installed energy efficient air conditioning and all in-room mini bars.

• Water Conservation.

  We have implemented low flow systems for faucets, toilets, and showers. Our linen and towel re-use program reduces laundry detergent and water usage by 25%.

• Best Practices.

  We embrace environmental activities such as recycling of coat hangers, elimination of Styrofoam cups, paperless check-ins/outs, and organic flowers. We buy milk by the gallon to reduce waste from packaging, and napkins are made from recycled paper.

• In-Room Recycling.

  Guests are encouraged to participate in reducing our environmental impact by using in-room designer recycling bins.

• Eco-Friendly Transportation.

Hotel Helix Supports Environmental Partnerships.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has teamed up with The Trust for Public Land (TPL) p to create parks in cities across America. This non-profit organization is dedicated to conserving land for people to enjoy as parks, gardens and other natural places. During the months of June and July, Kimpton Hotels hosts events to support TPL, raise funds and create awareness.
